Summer Activities 

Nendaz and the 4 Valleys

Chalet Lisa is a great place to stay for family and friends whether you are looking for an activity filled summer holiday, peace, quiet and relaxation or a combination of both. Hiking, Bisses walks or the mountain biking are all easily accessible from the chalet.  Enjoy other activities: swimming in lakes or the community pool with breathtaking views,  ziplining, volleyball, tennis, wall climbing, via ferrata.  For more information about summer activities in the Valais region click here.

Hiking in the 4 Valleys

The hiking opportunities are endless!  Nendaz has 250km of marked walks ranging from 1-2 hour strolls or 7-8 hour testing hikes.  You can also tackle several day hikes and book into the mountain cabins, there are a number of itineraries here. If you want to venture further afield in the Valais region, check out this site where you can search walks by criteria including duration, altitude difference, difficulty and destination.

Family Activities

For younger children there are a number of playgrounds in Nendaz and a climbing wall in the town centre for aspiring mountaineers!  Next to the climbing wall there is a volleyball court.  There are some fabulous zip lines, at the Domaine des Iles  where you can also go swimming in lake, play tennis and crazy golf.   ​Check out these suggestions for days out in Nendaz, the Valais and Italy and France.

Road Cycling

Discover Nendaz and the Valais region by bicycle. A wonderful way to explore the alpine valleys and the Rhone valley.  Below is a link listing 37 tours throughout the Valais with distance, elevations, times and degree of difficulty.  For super keen cyclists, check out the Valais Cycling Tour a 747km, 10-stage tour with 25 climbs totalling 18,500m.  Venture from the bottom of the Rhone Valley up winding mountain passes, passing dams, mountain peaks and beautiful scenery.

Golf

There are eight wonderful golf courses in the Valais to test your skills, including the world famous course in Crans Montana, which hosts the annual European Masters Cup. Nestled amongst the backdrop of snow capped peaks, rolling alpine hills and the magnificent Rhone valley, the eight unique courses will challenge the best handicap!

The Bisses Walks

These are fabulous walks to take with the family, especially small children.  The walks are relatively flat without big changes in altitude.   Check out the various itineraries in Nendaz here.

Mountain Biking

Nendaz and the 4 Valleys offer diverse and challenging mountain biking routes.  Check out the itineraries here for Nendaz.  Other fabulous routes are the Mont Fort and Printse tours where you can take the easy rider routes or the more difficult pro rider trails. The famous Grand Raid mountain bike race from Verbier to Evolène takes place every August.  The route follows the piste next to the chalet and it's lots of fun seeing the bikers speeding down the mountain. Via Ferrata

The Valais region of Switzerland has 15 fixed rope routes or via ferrata with varying degree of difficulty with some routes requiring certain level of technical skills.   Click on the link to search location and difficulty of the itineraries, a number of which are suitable for children.  Test your physical and mental limits whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains, ravines and glaciers! ​Nendaz' Via Cordata, a mixture of mountaineering, hiking and rock climbing has two itineraries: to the 3,300m peak of Mont Fort or the Cleuson dam via the Tortin glacier.  A guide is advised on these routes.

Vineyard Tours

It would be a shame to visit the Valais region of Switzerland and not sample the local wines! Take some time out to visit the many vineyards listed here.
