The 4 Valleys: Verbier, La Tsoumaz, Nendaz and Veysonnaz, have endless groomed slopes and world-famous off piste skiing.  Learn to ski on dedicated beginner slopes, take advantage of the many intermediate slopes or ski off-piste from the Mont-Fort at 3,300m for a whopping 2000m vertical drop, one of the world famous off piste ski itineraries in the 4 Valleys ski domain.

For skiers in Nendaz there are two types of ski lift pass:

  • Printse Lift Pass - valid for the areas: Nendaz, Siviez (excluding Mont-Fort), Veysonnaz & Thyon - 50 lifts & 220km ski area

  • The 4 Valleys Pass - upgrades the Printse pass to include the whole 4 Valleys ski domain - 92 lifts & 412km ski area

Nendaz has excellent facilities for children making it a good choice for family ski holidays.  Nendaz also offers a range of excellent ski schools and daycare facilities. 

At Lac Noir near to the Tracouet mountain station, there is a dedicated beginners park, a free facility, with magic carpet, beginners lift, snow tubing zone and a outside bar to catch a bite to eat and drink. 

There are also a number of beginner slopes once the basics have been mastered and more manageable slopes back to the resort, which makes the resort of Nendaz well suited to families. 

The ski domain offers all levels of difficulty for the more advanced skiers in the family, including powder skiing through the trees, snowboarding and freestyle skiing in the designated snow parks. 

If you still can't get enough exercise then you can go ice skating at the sports centre, sledging in Siviez, or check out the events and competitions organised for all ages by Nendaz Tourism.  You can search the schedule online

The 4 Valleys is renowned for its world-famous off piste skiing.  There are 6 off-piste ski itineraries including: the legendary Chassoure-Tortin Wall, one of the most demanding ski runs in the world, and the technical and thrilling Mont-Fort and Mont-Gelé runs.  

For the ultimate buzz in the wilderness, try ski touring or heli-skiing with experienced mountain guides and explore more than 80 unmarked backcountry ski runs.

Enjoy the peace and solitude of a mountain winter walk, perhaps glimpsing the wild animals and taking in the amazing mountain views. Nendaz has 92km of marked paths for enjoyable winter walks.  There are a number of itineraries to enjoy ranging from 35 minutes to 4.5 hours.

We highly recommend Neige Adventure for ski hire and ski lessons.  Fantastic ski instructors, many of whom speak French, English, German and Dutch and they offer ski lessons for all levels including park skiing for the more adventurous!  Mention Chalet Lisa and you will receive a discount!

The snow park or terrain park in Nendaz is called the Nendaz Wood Park and has boxes, kickers and rails for all ages and abilities. Conveniently situated on the Jean Pierre ski run, your budding park rats can spend hours perfecting their freestyle moves.  

The Ski Cross Park at the top of the Alpage ski run has all the thrills of the Olympic sport with its steep bends, banks and jumps.  Great fun racing against your friends and the clock.

Sledging is great fun!  There are some great places to sledge near to Chalet Lisa or if you want a bigger adventure try out the dedicated Tobogganing run in Siviez, a 3km track, for young and old to enjoy.  Take the Tortin chair lift to the start of the run.

There are two dedicated cross country paths, one for beginners which is 3km long and for more experienced skiers, a 6km path.  There is free shuttle service to the ski paths.
